Govt wanted to kill me: Ramdev

Cunning Sibal planned the drama, claims yoga guru

Ramdev, who alleged that the government was nervous due to the countrywide response to his hunger strike against black money, came down heavily on UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi for the crack down.

“The brutality shown to women and children at Ramlila Ground has shown that she does not love this country,” Ramdev said on Sunday morning soon after he arrived his Patanjali Yogpeeth at Hardwar after being airlifted from Delhi.

“The government wanted to encounter me. If some thing happens to me, Sonia Gandhi and Congress should be held responsible,” said Ramdev.

He declared that the fast will go on and he would do it near Delhi since his entry has been banned for a fortnight.

Ramdev was equally critical of Human Resources Minister Kapil Sibal and called him a “cunning person”, who, he alleged, had forced his associate to give in writing that the fast would end after two days as the government had agreed to accept the demands.
The government, according to Ramdev, backed out later because the declaration of black money would affect Congress ministers and politicians along with bureaucrats and businessman.

The yoga guru had horrific tales to narrate about  the crackdown. “The brutality surpassed the gory incident of Jallianwallah Bagh,” Ramdev said.

He narrated how the government started dialogue with him and the meeting on June 3 in a hotel turned out to be a drama to threaten him if he went ahed with the fast. Baba alleged that he was threatened with serious consequences if he continued with his plans to go on hunger strike. “Sibal had planned every thing,” Baba said.
