Officials of the rank of block educational officers and above will be part of the convention. About 500 officers are expected to participate.

A committee would be set up to study and recommend measures to rectify pay anomalies of primary and high school teachers and pre-university college lecturers. The   report will be submitted by this month end, he said.

Another committee has been formed to guide the government on improving standards of education in vocational training centres under National Vocational Educational Qualification Framework Policy being evolved by the Union government. Industries would be involved in the exercise so that these vocational training centres can create the required manpower, Kageri said.
