Faculty development programme at VVIET
Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology (VVIET) is organising a two-day faculty development programme on Analog System Design on July 12 at 10 am.
The department of electronics and communication engineering of VVIET is hosting the workshop, a release said.
The workshop aims to focus on Analog IC design and its applications with hands on experience on Analogy system lab starter kit (provided by Texas Instruments) along with simulation.
Participants can learn conducting experiments like power electronics, communication lab experiments, Analogy electronic circuit lab experiments prescribed by VTU on an universal kit.
It would benefit faculty members of the electrical, electronics, telecommunication, computer science, information science, instrumentation technology and allied engineering disciplines of VTU affiliated colleges.
Shyam Vasudev Rao, president and CTO, Cranes Software, Bangalore will be chief guest. Prof R Sakthidevi, assistant professor, Vellore Institute of Technology University would be guest of honour. About 50 faculty members from various engineering colleges have registered to participate.
Students excel Students of the institute have excelled in the eighth semester bachelor of engineering examination conducted by Visvesvaraya Technological University in May - June 2011.
The toppers of the college in various streams are: civil engineering - Abhilash (83.66 pc), Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Prajwal (83 pc), Mechanical Engineering - Sandeep H P (84.68), Electronics and communication - Pavan M (85.33 pc), Computer Science - Meera (86 pc) and Information Science - Vidya Shree (86 pc).
