Bangalore-based Globals ITeS Pvt Ltd, which specialises in developing world-class technology solutions for the education space along with Web, e-commerce and mobile based solutions, has secured investments from two strategic investors, Encore Operating Partners, Mauritius and Commonwealth Education Trust, UK.

Briefing reporters, Globals ITeS Chairman & CEO Suhas Gopinath said, “The investments will facilitate Globals to dilute about 38 per cent stakes to these investors. This is the first time that Globals is securing an investment from strategic investors.”

The funds will go towards developing cloud-based products in the education space such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems for K-12 Educational Institutions. We are launching eBag low cost tablet PCs for students and teachers in India, the Middle East and Africa and also an Online Teacher Training platform, Gopinath added.

“This is a testimony of our achievements, and thus to take forward our vision to use technology as an enabler to make quality education accessible and affordable at bottom of the pyramid” Gopinath said.
