<p>The Samiti had approached the High Court (writ petition 5713/2009) against leasing out of the tank to the mining company. <br /><br />The Court, on April 11, 2011 passed an order prohibiting any activity including construction of buildings in the tank, the office-bearers of the Samiti said at a press meet here on Wednesday.<br /><br />Recently, the Mines and Geology department imposed a penalty of Rs 123 crore on MSPL for alleged illegal mining in the said tank. <br /><br />The Samiti members claimed that the alleged mining amounts to violation of court order and a contempt plea will be filed against the company.</p>
