Yash will be sharing screen space with Ramya for the first time in ‘Lucky’. Yash says that he has pinned a lot of hope on this pairing in the film and feels that the movie will help him make a mark.

He says, “‘Lucky’ will be a milestone movie in my career. I have a very unique role which I had not explored until now. It is a character of a boy who always thinks out of the box and lives life the way he wants to. He falls in love with a girl (played by Ramya). Dr Suri is directing this film and we have been shooting at Abbaiah Naidu Studio.

There are plans to go abroad to shoot for two songs. It is a romantic comedy and has all the elements to hold the audience captive for two and a half hours,” he says.

If Ramya enters into wedlock with her fiance Raphael, wouldn’t that affect the project?

Yash feels these are just rumours and will have no repercussions on the project.  “Ramya and I are professionals and we know our responsibilities. The shooting with Ramya hasn’t started but I am looking forward to working with her. Our professional life takes precedence over our private life,” Yash asserts.

To add a tinge of glamour to his role, Yash has gone for a new look in the movie. “I have put my heart and soul into this project. I trimmed my beard in a new style and coloured my hair. People will see me in a whole new avatar.”

Yash refuses to comment on the allegations made against him by the producer of Kirataka.

“I don’t belive in mudslinging. I let my work do all the talking. Positive and negative comments are an integral part of any profession,” he reasons. Yash says Yogesh and Diganth are his best buddies and that he doesn’t consider any actor as his competitor. “I compete with myself. With every film, I try to better my performance and overcome my shortcomings. Of late, the Kannada film industry has had many talented young
actors.”

He adds, “There is enough space for all, hence we have never resorted to any kind of unhealthy competition. We all share a good rapport with each other.”
