When the students resorted to protest recently on July 30, the technical education department extended the carry over from four to six subjects. But still it proves detrimental to those students with backlog of seven or more subjects. Moreover, the internals of the current academic year is expected to begin from August 16, which clashes with the supplementary exams. It would obviously put the students in a fix, who cannot concentrate on one subject.
Karnataka Rakshana Vedike state convener M Ramegowda, who spoke on behalf of the students, demanded the department concerned to revise the system, enabling students to complete their studies.
