Bollywood’s beauties are deliberately stepping away from glamourous roles. Are they bored of the glitz or do they want to be recognised as more capable actresses? Bollywood divas, who are used to dolling up and looking their glamorous best on screen, have suddenly decided that they have had enough of it.
Increasingly, we see our leading ladies shunning the make-up, donning a deglam look and appearing more realistic for the camera. From Kareena Kapoor in ‘Bodyguard’, who decided to wear bindis and salwar kameezes, to Deepika Padukone in Aarakshan, and even Sonakshi Sinha and Sonam Kapoor, the plain Jane look is making a storming return.
