He also gave a call to all the party workers to attend the State-level Congress SC/ST conference to be held in Bangalore in the second week of September.

Addressing the Congress Party workers, District Minority Cell President Padmanabha Naringana said that Congress should show more interest in creation of minority committees and also the party workers should attend the committee meetings.

There was dissatisfaction among party workers as the meeting started late. Bantwal Block Congress SC/ST Cell Member Janardhan Chantimar said that the main reason the Dalits are leaving the party as they have not received support for the cell. As discrimination continues against them, Congress has failed to show its support, he complained and asked the party to show their support in future.
