'I am single and happy'

After coming out of a hit reality show like ‘Bigg Boss’ and with a couple of link-ups behind her, one would expect model Aanchal Kumar to head straight to B-town.
But the leggy lass is not the least bit interested in movies. Ask her why and she simply states, “I don’t watch Hindi movies. So that interest of wanting to be a part of Bollywood has never been there for me.” Instead, she feels right at home on the ramp and looks ever so comfortable walking down looking her stylish best even if it’s in a simple tee and jeans.
Aanchal, who was in the City as a showstopper to launch a new collection, tells Metrolife that while modelling happened to her by sheer luck, it’s a profession she would never want to part from. “I love every part of modelling. Of course, you have your good and bad days but ever since I started modelling, there has been this passion for it that has not died out so far,” she adds.
It was her desire to show the world the real ‘Aanchal Kumar’ that made her try out something like ‘Bigg Boss’ and till today, she gives a lot of credit to the show. “I am glad I went for the show. The kind of recognition and boost the show gave me is incredible. So far, it was only those in the modelling industry who knew me but now children and people on the streets recognise me. I also got a lot many endorsements offers that has kept me busy till now,” she smiles.
What also came out of the ‘Bigg Boss’ show was her link up with Rahul Bhatt and recently, one even heard of her linking up with cricketer Yuvraj Singh. She smiles and says, “Link-ups inside the house were obvious. There were a lot of good looking guys and such things were bound to happen. I was linked up with almost every guy in the house. When a pretty girl enters the room and talks to a boy, people immediately try to link them up. It’s all part and parcel of a celebrity life. Such link-ups used to affect me but now I just take it with a pinch of salt.”
So does she want to set the record straight? “ I am very much single and happy and I am in that phase in my life where I am so busy with work that I hardly have time for anything else,” she signs off.
