The people have appealed to the town municipality to take remedial measures to check the

Numerous monkeys

The incident happened near CESC office. There are numerous packs of monkeys taking shelter in the trees in the colony.

Municipal authorities have done little to drive away the monkeys, a resident said.

These monkeys take shelter in Gundlupet and surrounding areas. Monkeys also enter houses and ransack food and kitchen items, the residents complain.
