Platinum Jubilee celebration

Kadri Nrithya Vidyanilaya Charitable Trust will organise its Platinum Jubilee Celebration at Town Hall from September 9 to 11.

Addressing the reporters on Tuesday Kadri Nrithya Vidyanilaya Charitable Trust Secretary U K Praveen said that, V P Dhananjay of Chennai ‘Bharatha Kalanjali’ will inaugurate the programme while Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade will preside. Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr N S Channappa Gowda, Indian Overseas Bank Chairman M Narendra, Karnataka Bank Managing Director P Jayarama Bhat and other dignitaries will participate as chief guests. The Trust will honour renowned dance
Gurus Master Vittal, Ullal Mohan Kumar, Jayalaxmi Alva and art critic A Eshwaraiah.

Commemoration of Late U S Krishna Rao- Founder of Vidyalaya will be organised on Saturday. ‘Chennai Karnataka Sangha’ President K P Achar will preside over the programme. MCF Director Prabhakar Rao, Kannada Sahitya Parishat Former President Harikrishna Punaroor, Ullal MLA U T Khader and other dignitaries will be the chief guests. ‘Udayavani’ daily Buero Chief Manohara Prasad, ‘Mallika Kalavrunda’ Working President Sudhakara Rao Pejavara and ‘Nrithya Nikethana’ President P Kamalaksha Achar will speak about the life and achievements of U S Krishna Rao. Valedictory programme will be presided over by Corporate Affairs Minister M Veerappa Moily. Alva’s Education Foundation President Dr M Mohan Alva will felicitate the artists.
