2 students, BJP leader’s daughter, driver killed

A speeding four-wheeler mowed down four persons, two of them students, on National Highway-4 in Shiggaon, Haveri district, on Monday. Two more persons were injured in the accident.
Yeshwantpur Assembly constituency BJP president M Nagaraj, his wife and ZP member Jinnubai have been admitted to a hospital in Hubli.
Victims
His daughter, Pavithra, 17, driver of the four-wheeler Harish, 18, two students of Urdu High School - Nasir Khan Yallur, 15, Phazalahmed Adoni, 15 – were killed.
Nagaraj with his family, had come to Yellamma temple in Savadatti, Belgaum taluk. As the driver lost control, the vehicle hit the students and rammed into a concrete slab.
