Poonaccha to complain to SHRC

She said that she will file a complaint with the Human Rights Commission and the Women’s Commission against the humiliation that she faced.

Addressing a press meet, she said “I had sought details regarding canal construction and pond development work near Hosakere. However, the President did not answer my query. Instead he asked me to go out of the meeting hall. I have written to the ZP President and Zilla Panchayat CEO seeking explanation for sending me out of the meeting hall.”

Virajpet TP member Muthamma said “the taluk panchayat had opposed the proposal in the TP meeting. Inspite of the opposition, why the work on the pond was taken up?” she asked
She said “the development of the pond will not be of any use to the tribes in the region.”
