Elephant electrocuted in C'nagar

It is learnt that the jumbo was in search of forage when it came in contact with an electric fence put around to a cane field. It is said that Krishna Naika, who owns the field, had allegedly drawn an illegal power connection to the fence.

Naika has been arrested and is in judicial custody. Chamarajanagar Circle Forest Conservator S Shekhar and BRT Tiger Reserve Forest’s Assistant Forest Conservator Nagaraj visited the spot.
