Mysore, Sep 30, DHNS:

Placing Mysoreans on par with their multiplex-hopping counterparts in Bangalore, the heritage city has opened doors to a multiplex on October 1.

The multiplex has four halls on its premises. Adopting the latest technology in creating the ambience in seating and viewing as well as acoustics, DRC Cinemas, a partnership firm of Keystone Entertainment, has set up multiplex at B M Habitat Mall, above Easy Day supermarket, Jayalakshmipuram.

Sharing the details with media persons, Vaishali Hanumanth and Dr Prabhuddha Harsha — managing partners — said two halls had a seating capacity of 207 persons, while a hall equipped with 3-D technology could accomodate 278 persons, and one more hall can seat 268 viewers. Four shows will be held everyday and plans are afoot to book tickets over the net through bookmyshow.com. There are provisions to provide easy access to physically challenged people as well.

The AP-20 sound processor from DATASAT, widely used in theatres of international acclaim, is used here along with projectors from Panasonic and Barco yielding crystal clear picture on the big screen.

D-Day shows

On the day of their launchon Saturday, DRC Cinemas will show ‘Kung Fu Panda’ (English 3D), ‘Sarathi’ (Kannada), ‘Dookudu’ (Telugu) and ‘Sahib Biwi aur Gangster’ (Hindi) will be shown.
