13 Tibetans held while trying to enter Chinese embassy
New Delhi, Oct 9 (PTI)
Thirteen Tibetan students, including seven girls, were detained here today when they staged a protest and tried to enter the Chinese embassy, demanding independence for Tibet.
A senior police official said the protesters were students from Dharamsala, the seat of the Tibetan government in exile.
"13 students tried to stage a protest outside Chinese embassy in Chanakyapuri. They tried to enter the embassy. We prevented them and detained them," the official said.
