Global investors' meet: CM to visit China, Japan

Speaking to reporters, after holding a meeting with representatives of various industry associations, NRI Cell Chairman Ganesh Karnic said, the CM is scheduled to visit the two countries during the first half of September.

He said, similar visits to United Arab Emirates (UAE) and United States (US) have been scheduled during the fourth week of September and second week of October, respectively.

The CM or his representative will be leading these delegations. The State government will also be holding roadshows in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad, ahead of the meet. The Government is planning to finalise the dates of the two-day meet, to time it along with the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, scheduled to be held in Hyderabad during January next year.   “The timing will help those attending the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas to also attend the investors meet and vice-versa,” Karnic said.

Task force

Task forces for infrastructure, micro and small scale industries, food processing, automobile, health, education, textile, aerospace and other thrust areas for the meet, have been constituted. These task forces will be headed by representatives of various departments.

Various committees to work out logistics for the meet were also finalised on Friday.

Representatives of CII, FKCCI, Kassia participated in  the meeting.
