Woman posing as HR manager of private firm arrested
The Indiranagar police arrested a woman for impersonating as an HR manager of a private company.
The arrested has been identified as Bhuvanapriya (20), a resident of Hoskote, Bangalore Rural district.
The police arrested her based on a complaint by the company’s Corporate Investigation and Forensic Team.
Bhuvanapriya downloaded the log book of Mphasis Pvt Ltd from the Internet and prepared a fake letterhead of the company. She also prepared a fake identity card and identified herself as an HR manager employed with the company, police said.
She arranged campus interviews at several reputed colleges in the City after establishing contacts with principals and heads of placement cells.
She gathered biographical details of students after conducting interviews.
Later, she issued fake appointment letters, and collected huge sums of money from students and disappeared, the police added.
