When Mayor picked up the dumbells
They may have had weightier issues to tackle, but Mayor Sharadamma, her deputy S Harish and Malleswaram MLA Dr Ashwath Narayan, on Thursday, preferred to spend some light moments at a high-end gymnasium at the KC General Hospital.
Workouts on the spur are difficult, but the mayor did try her hand at lifting a bit of dumbells, though she backed out of yoga performances.
The political heavyweight trio was checking out the yet-to-be-opened gynasium being developed at the KC General Hospital in Malleswaram at a cost of Rs one crore.
Later speaking to reporters, Sharadamma said high-tech fitness centres were necessary for creating a healthy city.
The Palike is committed to setting up such fitness centres in each Assembly constituency, she said.
