<p>Yet, after the release of Krishnan Marriage Story, the actress kept a low profile and didn’t sign any new project for a long time. Ask her about it and Nidhi has no qualms in stating that she is very choosy when it comes to her roles.<br /><br /> “I chose this profession so that I can be my own boss, do films and take time off to explore the world. Now I have reached that place in my career where I can afford to take off when I want to and also, pick movies that I really believe in,” says Nidhi, who is soon taking a trip to New York. “I am extremely excited about this trip. I will be travelling abroad all alone for the first time. I wanted some ‘me’ time before my shoot starts and thought this was the perfect getaway,” she says.<br /><br />After she returns, she will start shooting for Suri’s next directorial Anna Bond. The film also stars Puneeth Rajkumar and Priyamani and Nidhi says that she simply couldn’t miss this opportunity. “Almost every actress dreams of bagging a film with Puneeth. The icing on the cake is that the role offered to me has a lot of substance. I am also looking forward to meeting Priyamani as I have always admired her as an actress,” she adds. Recently, there was news of Nidhi signing AMR Ramesh’s Attahasa, a movie based on Veerappan. <br /><br />Dismissing the rumours, Nidhi says, “I don’t know how that news has spread because I have not signed the film. In fact, I am busy shooting for my first reality show, called Kuniyona Baara. It’s a dance show, which is on the lines of ‘Just Dance’ hosted by Hrithik Roshan. I was a bit apprehensive at first considering my dates but the channel has promised me that they will work according to my dates. So I finally started shooting for the same,” she adds.<br /><br />Soon, Nidhi will be making her Bollywood debut along with her Pancharangi co-star Diganth. The fact that the role was earlier offered to Prachi Desai does not affect Nidhi. “I really like the script and the makers of the film said that they were impressed by my role in Pancharangi. But we are not shooting for it right now as there is an indefinite delay from their end,” says she.<br /><br />But Nidhi points out that she will treat this film the same way as she treats her other films. “For me, this film is like any other film. I am excited about it but that doesn’t mean that I will suddenly shift base and stop doing films in other languages. I am sure I will still be the same Nidhi no matter which film industry I am working in,” she signs off.</p>
