Fun time with family
Celebrations
Sandalwood actors will share the festive joy with their near and dear ones
Meghna, actress:
“For me, Deepavali is the time with family. My parents are coming down from the United States so it will be a grand Deepavali for all of us this year. We are not much into bursting crackers but we do plan to light up the entire house with diyas and after a small puja in the morning, we will probably go out visiting friends.”
Ramya Bharna, actress:
“I’m taking off from shooting to celebrate Deepavali with my family. I don’t burst crackers at all, instead I light up my house with diyas. This Deepavali is a special one for me as my younger sister will be coming home from the hostel and also my father will be returning from Chennai, so it’s going to be a full house. I’m looking forward to loads of family fun.”
Naveen Krishna, actor:
“I remember waiting for my father to bring crackers every year during Deepavali. Now my kids wait for me to come home with crackers. Staying in a joint family, Deepavali is a big celebration with everyone taking the traditional oil bath followed by a puja. Wearing new clothes, all of us visit and wish close family members. This year, nearly 35 people will be gathering in our house for the celebrations.”
Ramesh Aravind, director- cum-actor :
“I am busy dubbing and editing my film Namanna Don but I will take time off for my family. Generally, I take Deepavali as an opportunity to thank all people who have supported me in my professional and personal life. In the evening, many relatives including my brothers and their families will come home. Children have planned to get together and burst crackers.”
