Doodle contest at voting stage

With entries from children reaching 1.5 lakh for the first time in three years, the finalists were picked by a jury comprising ad guru Prasoon Joshi, actress Nandita Das and acclaimed artist Ganga Kadakia.

“Various artists and culture institutes including - Nirmala Niketan Polytechnic, National Institute Of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat, Aakriti Art Gallery, Srusti Art Institute, Gayathri Art Galore, CANMAS (Contemporary And New Media Art School), Nasik’s Kala Niketan, Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Government Fine Art Institute – Indore, Sky Blue Institute Of Design, Bhavya Art and Craft College, Lalit Kalakshetra - helped to select the quarter finalists.

The JJ School of Arts, Mumbai helped in the final shortlisting, which further went through the renowned panel of judges,” said a Google statement.

Winner in the Doodle4Google competition will be announced on November 9 in New Delhi. The winning doodle will go live on the Google India homepage to mark Children’s Day on 14th November. Visitors to Google can vote the best doodle at: www.google.co.in/doodle4google.
