C T Ravi terms JD(S) reaction blackmailing
The reaction of JD(S) leaders to cases registered against officials in piece work in Upper Krishna project leads to suspicion, said state BJP spokesperson C T Ravi.
Speaking to reporters after paying a visit to Hasanambha temple here on Thursday, he said, “the statement of JD(S) leaders that whoever initiated a probe into UKP cases have lost power is sheer blackmailing. If former prime minister H D Deve Gowda has not violated any rules in issuing piece work, let him come clean.”
Deve Gowda claiming that the state would face snap polls soon and his plan to start a state-wide tour from November is just a gimmick. If he could predict the future, he would not have stepped down from the post of chief minister and prime minister before the end of his term.
Stating that the charges against BJP leaders in the state were all at the investigation stage, he said it would be wrong to hold them guilty, before they are proved before law of the land. Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa resigned following corruption charges against him, but the Congress culture is to save the leader rather than public interest. Delhi chief minister Sheila Dixit is enjoying power despite being charged in the Commonwealth Games scam, he added.
Reacting to allegations against home minister R Ashoka regarding denotification of land, he said denotification was legal, but it has to be seen if it has been done in violation of rules.
Talking about ‘Jana Chaitanya Yatra’ of L K Advani, he claimed it has become a success at the initial stage itself as it has kicked off a debate about corruption throughout the country.
BJP district president Krishnegowda, former president Navile Annappa, leaders Lohit Kundur, K T Prakash and Dasappa were present.
