Guv flayed over delay in Lokayukta appointment
Bangalore, Nov 3, DHNS:
State BJP president K S Eshwarappa hit out at Governor H R Bhardwaj on Thursday for the delay by the Governor to give his nod for the appointment of Justice Bannurmath as the Lokayukta.
Eshwarappa told reporters that the Governor should not have raised objections to the government’s decision.
He, at times, addressed the Governor in singular while interacting with the reporters. However, the Governor, while interacting with the media, said he had not rejected the appointment of Bannurmath.
Bhardwaj said: “The Lokayukta post is a very responsible one. There is need for discussion. But no name has been rejected.”
