Sanga bolsters Lanka
Former captain Kumar Sangakkara and the talented Angelo Mathews joined hands to lift Sri Lanka to respectable total in the inconsequencial fifth and final one-dayer against Pakistan here at the Sheikh Zayed stadium on Wednesday.
Opting to bat first, Lanka were rattled by Pak pacemen to be reduced to 46/4 in no time. The in-form Sangakkara (78) and Mathews (61), however, added 120 runs for the fifth wicket to bat the visitors out of troubled waters.
For Pakistan, Sohail Tanvir was the most successful bowler with returns of 4/34.
