The petition names Malini Krishnamurthy and City Police Commissioner among the respondents.<br />The body of Prabhu was found in a ditch near the Green Valley School on Kanakapura Main Road on the outskirts of the City on October 17.<br /><br />Case adjourned<br /><br />The High Court on Thursday adjourned the matter related to a PIL filed by MLA Narendra Babu for four weeks, after the State government submitted that it was reconsidering the order of denotification of land in Nandini Layout.<br /><br />Narendra Babu had filed a petition stating that former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa had denotified a land measuring one acre, which was acquired by the BDA for the formation of Nandini Layout extension in Jarakabandekaval village.<br /><br />The PIL alleged that the land was denotified by the authorities to benefit an applicant. <br />Yeddyurappa in his order, dated October 19, 2009, had approved the denotification of the land in Nandini Layout on the grounds that there was a school building on the land and also that the previous owner of the land had made a representation for denotification.<br /><br />Subsequent to this, the Urban Development Department issued a denotification order on January 12, 2010. The PIL challenged the order on the grounds that in January 2006 itself, the building was demolished by the BDA and even today the land was vacant. <br /><br />So approval by the Chief Minister for denotification of this land was done with non-application of mind and with mala fide intentions, the petitioner had contended.<br />The court had also ordered to maintain status quo on the land denotified in Nandini Layout, till further orders.<br /><br />Implead BBMP<br /><br />The High Court directed the BBMP to be impleaded in a petition filed against Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda.<br /><br />K G Nagalakshmi Bai had approached the Court seeking criminal action against the chief minister for construction of a building in contravention of bylaws.<br /><br />According to the petition, Sadananda Gowda was allotted 24.84 guntas at Nelagunte village and he had approached the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA), seeking permission to amalgamate the adjacent site. <br /><br />The BDA, however, refused permission. The petitioner had alleged that Gowda went ahead and constructed a shopping complex in a residential layout flouting BDA norms. <br />She submitted that Gowda had violated BDA norms and had constructed a five-storey building. <br /><br />The matter has been adjourned to December 14.<br /></p>
