Two cowherds, 9 heads of cattle perish in mishap
Madurai, Dec 17, (PTI):
Two cowherds and nine heads of cattle were killed when the lorry in which they were travelling capsized after the driver suddenly braked to avoid a pothole at Chintamani ring road here, police said
The driver and cleaner suffered injuries in the mishap last evening and have been hospitalised.
The lorry was carrying 25 bulls and cows, they said, adding those animals which did not die managed to wriggle out of the vehicle.
