MPs seek more funds for drought relief
Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Wednesday promised to sanction maximum fund under the National Calamity Relief Fund (NCRF) to take up relief works in drought-hit areas in Karnataka.
After receiving a memorandum from a delegation comprising Union ministers and MPs from Karnataka, the Agriculture Minister said that a central study team already visited the drought-hit areas to access the ground reality and based on its recommendation, the Centre would try to give maximum help at the earliest.
