Rs 15k-cr Kudgi project gets NTPC nod
State-run NTPC board has approved investment proposals worth Rs 15,166.19 crore for the upcoming super thermal power project at Kudgi in Karnataka.
The company has applied for Ministry of Environment and Forest clearances for the project. As soon as it gets clearances, the company wants to start the construction works, said a company official.
The company is also planning to place the equipment order in this fiscal itself, he added. The super-critical thermal power plant will have five units of 800 MW each and the first phase comprising three generating units is expected to be commissioned by 2013-14.
