<p>A self-styled military officer landed in the custody of Airport police on Saturday evening for allegedly trespassing into the prohibited military area. The suspect was identified as Sameer Shamsheer Rana, 40, of Ajmer in Rajasthan. Police are investigating if Rana has terrorist links.<br /><br /></p>.<p>“We have recovered some documents from him, including a fake identity card. Rana told the police that he is lieutenant colonel stationed at Ajmer. We are interrogating him from all angles. It is too early to jump to any conclusion as the police need to verify his statements and authenticity of his claims and documents. So far there is no evidence to prove that he is a terrorist,” Airport Sub-Division ACP R Ashok told Deccan Herald.<br /><br />Rana was noticed walking about on the military premises wearing different uniforms of the armed forces several times over the past six months. Three days ago, his movements made some security guards suspicious and they took him into custody. Contradictory statements made by Rana deepened their suspicion about him and they handed him over to police.<br /><br />The police produced him before the 10th ACMM Court on Sunday and he was remanded to judicial custody.<br /></p>
