Satinder Duggal, the coordinator for development and new initiatives at Christ University was the guest of honour at the conference, and he got everyone thinking about how the student community, in these days of consumerism, can go rural and exhibit their skills in the development of rural India.

R Venkatesh, the chairman of the Sambhram Group of Institutions, added that it was important for students to make sure they never developed financial arrogance; rather, they should develop skills to help take rural India to a global platform.

S Ramakrishna, from the Sridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Tumkur, highlighted the possibilities of transforming rural India through reverse innovations.
