Dalai Lama's security tightened

Security for Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama has been tightened at the Buddhist holy site of Bodh Gaya, where he is attending the Kalchakra puja, following reports of threats to his life from Chinese agents, Tibetan officials and police said Friday.

Lobsang Choedak, the media officer of the Kalchakra arrangement committee, said that Dalai Lama’s security was tightened in and around the Kalchakra prayers venue and monastery.

According to local police officials, officials of Tibet government in exile have sounded alert about presence of Chinese spies at Bodh Gaya during Kalchakra to create trouble.
Dalai Lama is attending the 10-day-long 32nd Kalachakra puja, being held for world peace and brotherhood.

The Kalachakra puja, is the  the biggest annual gathering of Buddhism’s Mahayana sect, opened with a sermon by Dalai Lama and is attended by nearly two lakh devotees.
