The multi-venue, multi-event cultural festival, ''Bengaluru Habba'' is back. In its ninth edition this year, the 10-day-long festival will come alive from January 13 to 22 in different venues across the City, playing host to a range of performances in art, dance, music and theatre.

A brainchild of Nandini Alva and Padmini Ravi, the Bengaluru Habba is seen as a platform to revive Bengaluru’s rich history of art and culture.

“Bengaluru Habba is all about celebrating local artistes, our state and its culture and art forms. Our passion for diverse forms of local art and cuisine and its reflection in the character of this city is the pulse of Habba. We will soon be in the 10th edition of the Bengaluru Habba next year and it is indeed a celebration for us to see art and art forms being popularised through this festival. We invite all Bangaloreans to come and soak in the magnificence of the celebration of art”, says Nandini Alva.

This time around the Habba includes performances by top dance schools, theatre groups, dancers and musicians; giving the people of the City a chance to meet and appreciate the works of renowned artistes from across India. The Habba will also attempt to capture the spirit of Incredible India through folk, visual art and theatre festivals. Rock and jazz performances will add to the grandeur of the Habba.

The 10-day festival will bring together young artistes from all over Karnataka, celebrating various art forms. The performances are slated to be held across prominent venues in the City. No entrance fee will be charged for the Habba performances.
