Pooja Gandhi to join JD(S)
Kannada cine actor Pooja Gandhi is all set to join the JD(S). She would be inducted into the party in the presence of JD(S) State president H D Kumaraswamy by this month end.
Pooja, who attended Vivekananda Jayanti organised at the JD(S) main office on Thursday, is learnt to have expressed her desire to join the party. She was impressed with the pro-people works taken up by Kumaraswamy during his tenure as the chief minister in the State.
However, Pooja has not made any announcement in this regard.
JD(S) women’s wing president Jyoti Reddy told reporters that Pooja will join the party after January 20.
“Senior leaders of the party have given their green signal for Pooja’s entry into the party. We will fix a date that is convenient to Kumaraswamy to formally induct her into the party,” she added.
