She may not have had many releases last year but Aindrita Ray is not complaining. Her positive attitude and smiling face show that she is content with the way her career is going.

“I rarely watched cricket but ever since CCL and IPL began, my interest in the game has increased. As for this season, I have been watching the boys practise hard for the league and I really hope they will win the cup this time,” she adds.

Soon, the actress will be seen opposite Diganth in Parijatha. Ever since the posters of the film have been released, people have been talking about the interesting chemistry that she shares with Diganth on screen. “Diganth and I share a very good chemistry on screen. This is the second time I am being paired with Diganth and people like seeing us together,” says Aindrita, who plays a very mature role in the movie. “I have always done glamourous roles but in this movie, I play a very homely character and will be seen only in saris,” she reveals.

Rajinikantha is another movie that Aindrita is looking forward to. She is excited not only about her performance but also of her co-star Vijay’s. “This is the first time that Vijay is playing a double role and he has nailed it. It was amazing to see him switch from one character to another in no time. I have worked with him before in Junglee but in Rajinikantha, people will see a completely different Vijay,” says Aindrita.

Ask her about her prolonged absence on screen and Aindrita says that she in fact had a jam-packed year. “I was busy shooting for Parijatha and Rajinikantha and after that, I left for a small holiday with my friends. It’s not that I had no work, it’s just that I preferred to take my own time in choosing the projects. I have always been choosy about my projects and will continue to be so,” she signs off.
