Chopra said she was followed everywhere by her admirers and fans in Bareilly after she she won a local beauty pageant called 'May Queen'.

"One day, a boy came up to the top floor of my house where I used to sleep. I didn't know him and he jumped from the terrace to my balcony window. He was staring at me through the window and I didn't know him..I was absolutely frightened and told my dad, 'Papa mere kamre mein koi aa gaya hai, koi khatkhata raha hai'.

"The very next day, my parents got the entire house and my bed covered with iron rods like a cage so much so that if there was a fire, we would have all burnt to death since there was just no escape route," the 27-year-old actress said.

Talking to director Farah Khan on her chat show 'Tere Mere Beach Mein' to be telecast tomorrow on Star Plus, Chopra said her mother had even instructed her not to wear jeans and skirts during her school days as many boys in the locality used to follow her.

On her future plans, Priyanka said she's never planned her life and took up things as they came along while working hard to achieve success.
She believes that it is her spontaneous nature to accept challenges has helped her take risks and make things happen.

"Right from participating in the 'May Queen' contest after returning from Boston to films, it was one line...'Chalo karte hain'," she said.
Priyanka's last three films 'Dostana', 'Fashion' and 'Kaminey' have been box-office success.

The usually bubbly and vivacious Chopra also broke down in tears more than once during the show, channel sources said.
