2 kidnapped girls rescued from G B Road
Two girls, including a minor, kidnapped from West Bengal were rescued from Delhi’s red light area G B Road, police said on Wednesday.
“We got information from Mahehshtola police station in West Bengal that two girls, including a minor, who were kidnapped on December 25, have been confined in kotha No. 70 at G B Road,” Additional Commissioner of Police (central) Devesh Chandra Srivastva said.
The photos of the girls were also obtained from Bengal police, he added. “The managers of the brothel were arrested,” Srivastva said.
The girls said they belong to poor families, adding they had boyfriends. “Their boyfriends had brought them to Delhi on the pretext of marrying them and later sold them at G B Road,” Srivastva said. The girls were sent to Bapuna Shelter Home for night stay.
