My own people could not tolerate me, says BSY

Bangalore, January 22 2012, DHNS:

Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa on Sunday said his detractors, including some in his own party, had repeatedly plotted to create problems for him during his three-year tenure as chief minister.

Speaking at a function organised by the Harohalli Veerashaiva Welfare Association in Bangalore, he claimed his detractors could not tolerate development programmes launched by his government . Yeddyurappa said he lost the chief ministership due to the conspiracy.

“The development programmes for which I strived were turned into a weapon against me. Yet, I will work for development of the State”, he said.

He said during his tour across the State last week, he had received rousing welcome from the people spanning all sections of the society.
