New tech to ease security agencies’ task

New Delhi, Jan 24, 2012, DHNS:

Oracle has come up with a new technological solution that can help government’s security agencies to manage and quickly analyse bulk of intelligence information that they have.

The Oracle Big Data Appliance can also be utilised for effective delivery of citizens’ service and healthcare services among other areas where processing and analysis of huge pile of information and data is involved, Sunder Ram, Oracle’s vice president, technology sales consulting for Asia Pacific region, said here on Tuesday.

The ‘Big Data’, in conjunction with Oracle Exadata, Oracle Exalytics and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud, offers the broadest, most integrated product portfolio to help its users acquire and organise diverse data types, and then analyse them alongside existing enterprise data to discover new insights and make the most informed decisions, he added.

The appliance is an engineered system of hardware and software that incorporates Cloudera’s Distribution Including Apache Hadoop with Cloudera Manager. The appliance is also useful for its use in private sector as it offers a “complete and integrated” solution.
