Arrests vindicate me: Thackeray
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Raj Thackeray, who has been carrying on a tirade against north Indians, said on Tuesday that the arrests of persons of Bihar in connection with the July 13 blasts in Mumbai proved “my point.”
Addressing pressmen, the MNS leader picked up his favourite topic-north Indian but without lacing his statements with rancour.
“People make fuss over my statements but nobody pays any heed. Yesterday's arrest in 13/7 bomb blast case revealing Bihar connection proves my point.”
The press meet was called in a hurry after State Election Commissioner Neela Satyanarayan threatened MNS leader that stern action would be taken “against political parties making hate speeches.”
Last week, in an election rally speech in the upper-class dominated north-western suburb -Vile Parle - remarked that people should "stop buying things from north-Indians.”
