Enjoyable rock
Since 1995, despite a change in the line up, Nickelback’s sound has remained essentially the same — hard rock. The same grunge and heavy drumming is a
constant.
This means war engulfs the listener in a vortex of gritty, metallic guitars with plenty of anger and dynamic intensity. In Bottoms up, drummer Daniel Adair’s big beat leads into a slink guitar groove. Midnight queen is a a fast-paced, energetic, tough-guy rocker with buzzsaw guitar.
Gotta get some is a slow, chugging and groovy rock song with a subtle delivery. Trying not to love you has pop elements, while Holding on to heaven with its romantic lyrics should appeal to high school kids. Everything I wanna do is a melodic rocker. The album ends with a gentle and harmonic Don’t ever let it end. The album has the bang and the blast to those who want to listen to some crunchy music.

Past hits
This audio CD compilation is neither new nor fresh. It’s been playing over the radio for over a year and these are tracks that you can’t help but know the lyrics to.
Though it is perfect for your car — perfect for every mood you may experience while driving through the city — Adele’s Rolling in the deep and Flo Rida’s Who dat girl will make the perfect background score to deal with road rage.
Bruno Mars’s The lazy song and Jason Derulo’s Don’t wanna go home can get you to toss your hair around in the middle of an easy drive around the city.
And don’t forget to skip to track number 14, Pink’s Raise your glass, if you’re in the middle of an emotional breakdown moment while waiting for the lights to change at a signal.
And yes, here’s another reason for the 2011 chart toppers to revel in the new year!
