Germany’s Order of Merit

President of the Indo-German Cultural Society Subrato Haldar was conferred with prestigious “Germany’s Order of Merit” in recognition of his immense contribution to Indo-German friendship.
The German Consul General in Bangalore Ingo Karsten conferred the Order of Merit at a simple function organised recently. Haldar has been President of the Indo-German Cultural Society since 1999.
The Order of Merit is awarded to German nationals and foreigners for outstanding political and intellectual performances as well as for eminent cultural or humanitarian merits for Germany, according to a release from the office of German Counsel General in Bangalore.
