Canara Bank win easy
Canara Bank put to fore an impressive all-round show to register a 78-run win over State Bank of Mysore in the Dell-KSCA Group II, Division I Super League tournament.
Propelled by Bharath Chipli’s century (108 runs, 90 balls, 14x4, 2x6) and half-centuries from former India international Sunil Joshi (82), C Raghu (51) and Rajoo Bhatkal (50),
Canara Bank posted a massive 361 for nine in their allotted 50 overs. Anand P Katti (3/54) and Anirudh Joshi (3/74) were the pick of the bowlers for SBM.
In reply, SBM were in line to overhaul the target as Karun Nair (113, 111b, 13x4, 2x6) and Anirudha Joshi (71, 60b, 2x4, 3x6) put them in a good enough position to push for it. However, they lost the plot midway through and finished their innings on 283 all out in 47.5 overs. Bhatkal (3/58) and NC Aiyappa (3/52) did well with the ball for Canara Bank.
