SC has not passed any remark against Chidambaram: Congress

New Delhi, Feb 2, 2012, (PTI)

Congress today noted that the Supreme Court has not passed any remark against Home Minister P Chidambaram in the 2G case but withheld detailed comment pending study of the apex court order.

"We have respect for the judgement of the Supreme Court. They have not passed any remarks against Home Minister P Chidambaram and as far as telecom licenses are concerned which are cancelled, we have not gone through the judgement so far," party spokesperson Rashid Alvi told PTI.

He said it is too early to comment on the judgement. "Let us go through the judgement," he added.

The Supreme Court today left it to the trial court to decide on the demand for investigation of the alleged role of Chidambaram into the 2G spectrum allocation scam but refused to give direction to CBI on the issue.
