SI booked in Kerala email snooping case

A criminal case has been filed against a Kerala police sub-inspector for his alleged involvement in the infamous Kerala email snooping controversy.

The case was filed at the Thiruvananthapuram Museum police station against the police personnel, S Biju, for preparing false documents and inciting communal hatred.

Biju has allegedly leaked details on the email snooping exercise to the media. The case was filed after Inspector general of police, Sanjay Kumar, had probed the matter.

The Kerala police had been allegedly snooping over email records of prominent Muslim leaders in the state.
