Bihar to hold farmers’ meet
In a bid to fine tune the draft of the agriculture roadmap prepared by the Bihar Agriculture Cabinet, the state government has decided to hold a farmers’ meet here on February 4, for detailed discussions, state Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh said.
Singh told reports that the state agriculture Cabinet, comprising 18 departments under the chairmanship of the chief minister, had prepared the roadmap for boosting agriculture production and make Bihar self sufficient in foodgrains.
The roadmap was proposed to be implemented from April 2012. Over 2,000 farmers are expected to participate in the proposed meet, he said.
