Man arrested for uploading obscene images of woman colleague

The Cyber Crime Cell of Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department has arrested a techie for allegedly opening a fake Facebook account of his former woman colleague and publishing obscene pictures.

The accused-- T Satish, an engineer working with an MNC in Bangalore, was arrested yesterday and CID officials seized one laptop and one hard-disk from his possession, used for uploading obscene images of the victim, Cyber Crime SP U Rammohan said.

During the investigation, the accused confessed that he and the victim used to work together in Hyderabad and had became good friends.

According to police, taking lenience of the victim's friendship, Satish had blackmailed her and made her give approval to their marriage.

Subsequently, Satish took some obscene photographs of the victim by threatening her, the senior CID official said adding due to the attitude of the accused, the victim gradually moved away from him and finally stopped talking to him.

Angry by the act, Satish bore grudge against the victim and hacked her email ID and transmitted her obscene pictures to the contact list.

Later, he also created a fake Facebook account of hers and published her obscene pictures and sent the same to her friends and relatives, which caused deep mental agony not only to the victim, but also to her family members, the SP said.

Following the complaint, Satish was arrested from Bangalore yesterday and was remanded in judicial custody for 15 days today.
