Drug-peddler arrested

New Delhi, Feb 3,2012, DHNS:

A 27-year-old man has been arrested from Sadar Bazar area of central Delhi on charges of drug trafficking and contraband worth Rs 30 lakh was recovered, police said on Friday.

Police have also recovered 300 grams of heroin worth Rs 30 lakh in the international market from Avinash Rathi’s possession.

“Rathi was arrested after we received a tip-off on Thursday that he would be coming near Filmistan Cinema to deliver the contraband to a contact,” said DCP Ashok Chand.
