Friends stab man to death
Ananth Kumar (25), a resident of Vinayaknagar, was allegedly stabbed to death by his roommates in the Wilson Garden police limits on Thursday.
Kumar, a native of Odisha, was staying with his friends Subash, Surik, Jayakrishna, Fareeda and Fayaz, also natives of the eastern state. They all worked as security guards at an apartment on Bannerghatta Road. Two months ago, Kumar left his job at the apartment and joined elsewhere.
On Thursday, Subhash returned to the room and was furious Kumar had not prepared food.
When questioned, Kumar allegedly gave an insulting reply, which led to an argument between them.
Subhash was joined by others. After heated exchanges, they stabbed Kumar and fled.
Neighbours who heard Kumar’s cries rushed him to the St Philomena Hospital but he died on the way. Police are on the lookout for the suspects.
